Wanna launder some money?

I came across an article on careerbuilder.com about some job scams that are out there and some tips to recognize these scams. The article lists 6 common scams that are currently popular, from check cashing and stuffing envelopes to phishing scams.

I have seen all these scams out there - even some listed on careerbuilder or monster as job opportunities. I think I even answered one for the check cashing deal, but once I got the full info emailed to me, I noticed it just didn't seem right. It's incredible that people can take advantage of others so easily. But, unfortunately, it's true. So just be careful folks - you definitely don't want to get caught up in some illegal money laundering scam when you're just trying to make a few extra bucks to feed your children! :smh:

My brother was recently online looking for a job and asked me to evaluate the authenticity of a job website he was interested in. It looked totally suspect to me (you had to pay them money and they would help shop your application around to companies). I told him not to do it because it sounded like a scam. It's amazing how dangerous the Internet can be - even when you're looking for jobs!
